Ready to fall for Boxing Central

We’re all set to start boxing fitness classes at Boxing Central on Monday February 4 at 7pm.

Just ten days before Valentines Day, it gives you time to get in shape for whatever comes your way – love, chocolates or a new year’s resolution.

Fitness clases will run Monday and Wednesday nights at 7pm for 1 hour. Monday nights will be simpler, fitness focussed classes while Wednesdays will be more about technique and will follow on from the 6pm sparring class.

In March there will be a Fighting Fit high intensity class on Thursday nights at 6.30pm that will combine all the strength and conditioning training a fighter needs but no boxing experience is required. This is a class that will suit those wanting to push their fitness as well as competitive boxers who need that extra something to push them to a new level. There’ll be plenty of jumping, sprinting, lunging, twisting and core strengthening and the classes will run for 45 minutes.

 

A beginners’ boxing class is also in the works.

We’ve been testing the gym to see how best to use the space and so far people are loving it. Boxing Central is shaping up to have a great atmosphere, a learning ethos with a supportive group of people all working together.
